Iron Maiden Extravaganza

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I felt that I just had to. I just took some time off to read all of the reviews in the 'Iron Maiden Extravaganza' on Royal Carnage at a stretch, and I have to say, that is some pretty impressive writing. I am a columnist / music correspondent for a print magazine in India, and also editor for a very popular webzine, and I've been visiting this website for quite some time now, and the standard of writing that has been maintained is really admirable. I just wanted to say keep up the good work, and you should have many more such articles.

Once again, I apologize if I have posted this in the wrong place...

Well even though I didn't take part in the Iron Maiden feature, there is no need to apologize! Thanks for the compliments!

So what's the link to your webzine? ;)

Right now it looks pretty shitty, but the new version is going to be launched on the 1st or 2nd of January 2004, and is going to look MUCH better. The website is mostly dedicated to the Indian rock/metal scene, and we've only recently started including international material as well. It may be nothing compared to Royal Carnage, but you are welcome to check it out at http://www.infinitymag.tk/

The website has been dead for quite a while now, coz I have been working on the new version. The new version of the site will be available at http://www.infinitymag.com/

And I would love to tie up with Royal Carnage, in some way or the other...but I doubt that will happen...Royal Carnage is there..(Points to ceiling), and Infinity is down here (looks at ground). :)

First of all, many thanks for your kind comments about our Maiden feature.

In fact our 1st Birthday is only around the corner! :)

JayKeeley and I are especially interested in reviewing and supporting metal bands from the Asian subcontinent. One band that has caught the eye of Jaykeeley is the Indian band Rudra - check out his 2003 Top Ten.

I'm very interested in reviewing and promoting European metal outfits. You help me with that and I would love to help you promote Indian bands...there are a lot of good bands over here, am currently managing 2 bands, that are on the verge of releasing full length albums. My email address is infinitymag@infinitymag.com . Please get in touch with me asap. I would love working with you guys. A rocking new year to you!

This thread rules. Very nice to hear stuff like that, especially for something we were so proud of.

We have a bunch more features in the pipeline. Some are in the works, some are being drafted (like RUDRA), some are stuck in dream-state, but eventually we'll get there in the end.

This is just off of the top of my head, but maybe you could have a sticky thread, to discuss the articles that are posted on the website, as in interviews, features, reviews, etc

I'm not a fan of sticky threads to be honest. They end up just hovering at the top for weeks without change. However, you're more than welcome to start regular threads about any articles you find on RC - whether you agree, disagree, and so forth. I'm sure this forum serves a purpose for these such things.

I'm incredibly surprised that a webzine writer would come to another webzine and be prepared to admit this kind of humility (sp?)...if it was me I'd probably all "aYeKa wEBzIne pWNz ur RC geigh mvtvl :loco: " so I will definately check out your webzine next time I come online sober :)

(please bump this thread so I remember to be true to my word  )
