Is a load box needed?

Righto, so I just bought a new guitar amp. It is the Krank Rev SST - Solid State Tube. So basically it is a tube amp (the preamp is), but the power section is solid state. Does this mean that I would not need a load box when using the FX send for recording direct? From what I have gathered you need the load box because of the power section?

Nope, you dont need a load box with a solid state power section.
