Is Catharsis really banned?

I'm not that often here these days, but it seems to me that some threads and some particular and very (in my unsofisticated opinion) likable members of this very respectable community have been denied any further participation in the life of the mentioned above community. What's the basis I wonder?

He was banned by Thra:rofl:ude for posting a free link to a CDC clip several times. This was after Thra:rofl:ude posted a link to the CDC and recieved some negative responses to it. (The CDC, not the actual clip.)

We'll see how long this thread lasts until it's deleted.

I don't want to say much more about it, I don't want to be banned.

I wonder how many hundreds of $£ worth of merchandise/albums/tickets Catharsis has spent over the years on Anthrax......

you put it best... i hope the band sees this post. on the other hand they are making you pay for cdc access so i can see why someone should at least be warned after posting something like that. i still hate the idea of paying for memberships in a bands fan club. metallica had the best idea when they gave you access to downloadable content for buying thier new album (shitty as it was, the album i mean) i support the fuck out of anthrax even when i don't like the vocals as much.

Man...I love it when band's ban their own fans from their websites...

...I'm sure it'll help secure a sense of unity among the supporters of Anthrax.

Dear Anthrax...hire a marketing manager, a PR assistant, and an ethics teacher.

Also: tell John Bush (if anybody ever speaks to him anymore, or better, if he stills speaks to anyone) that we need a new Armored Saint record!

Jono raised an interesting point: Was catharsis warned against posting that, then banned for posting it again, or was he just banned outright? If it was the latter, then I think it was a bit heavy-handed; if catharsis was warned, well, then you live with the consequences.

With the deletion of posts and banning of members, it's starting to feel a little heavy-handed in here, IMO.
