I have been thinking about purchasing drumagog and im very curious about it. Is it difficult to get a descent sound from using it? what is the learning curve time? are there manuals or tips(links) about using it. Thanks.

a lot of people seem to prefer Aptrigga because of it's interface. on the other hand I had trouble getting a decent snare sound with it (when it comes to multi-samples drumagog worked much better for me) on the other hand my kick-samples seem to sound much better through aptrigga. it also eats much less of your cpu and it's cheaper. Some say drumagog is very easy to setup (as it is for me), others think aptrigga is the better choice. you really should try both and see which one you prefer. I use both 
I was a Drumagog Pro user and switched to aptrigga a while back. Couldn't be happier with my purchase/decision. I know enjoy being able to use more instances of a sample replacement plug-in, and very intuitive controls on the GUI for it as well. I haven't encountered a situation yet that made me want to re-install Drumagog. It's easy to use and works like a charm. Best thing about it, to me, is that it performs a lot smoother than Drumagog does. The triggering is awesome.

I've been kicking around getting aptrigga for a while now. I have drumagog pro and when ever I use it I can use it on an HD system, but even still I find myself having to go and check each hit for phase issues. I've tried turning auto align off/on, and a few other things, and I still have to go and check.
I guess what I'm getting at is, How is Aptrigga for phase between the original and it's samples, prints right on the money?

I use drumagog, I've hear the aptrigga is better, definately cheaper. Id say get it. I didnt know about aptrigga before. I'm thinking of buying it though.

I looove apTrigga. Way tighter than Drumagog, cheaper, less cpu intensive, easier to use, and much, much cheaper.

i have both. the advantages of drumagog are like slate .gog files, it's just really a lazyness issue, it does help that so many samples come in gog formats. another advantage is that aptrigga is limited to i think 9 multisamplles which sometimes sucks. the autoducking on drumagog rules also.
but at the end of the day aptrigga seems to be able to roughly the same drumagog does at a fraction of the cost and cpu usage. it's just more work, drumagog it's all right there, the multisamples, the auto ducking all that stuff.

The 9 sample limit with apTrigga has not affected me at all yet. So far 5-7 samples has been plenty for any project I've had to use samples on. And it's 9 samples per *instance* of the plug. You could always copy a track and edit out certain hits to only be played on track 1 and certain ones on track 2, and use different samples on both tracks, like one for hard/medium hits, one for ghost notes, etc. I've done that before, and as long as you have a pretty elaborate sample set of the *same* snare then it sounds totally fine. Or most of the time I bring the original snare's ghost notes up using compression and fiddle with threshold and sample wet/dry settings until I mostly hear the sample for hard/med hits and the original snare for ghost notes. Works quite well.

I would like to know how many people actually paid for Drumagog.
All of the PC users I know run hacked versions of Drumagog and Waves on their Hacked Cubase and Nuendo.
The full version of Drumagog is much better than the hacked versions most people use and Yes it comes with a Manual.
I'll pay the price and take support and stability over a free hack any day.

agree, just like when people burn cds instead of going out and purchasing them....it ruins the industry and ALL OF US trying to make a living off of OUR ART...im just curious about the program, sounds like alot of work to get the right sound for just samples when youcould just do alittle xtra in the studio and get the good sound without samples..
