I just got an apogee duet and i was saving up for a LL Red Eye when i noticed i can change the output of Duet to Instrument??

Im sure it will work, but is it going to damage my precious 5150?
Thanks!

slightly OT: sacha can you use the axe fx as a di box by using just shunts only into analog input of interface? i remember reading cliff saying that its fine this way but wanna know your thoughts? will a real DI box sound better?

I remember a time in this studio once. The guy basically reamped through his monitor controller, carefully setting the level, but he also recorded the DI with a 500K input load. I haven't run the numbers, but it might make sense now. It didn't sound bad or anything.

Someone on youtube reamps using a tubescreamer.

Funny, I haven't really been able to use mine much- or at full volume really... I'm getting a very large about of buzz/hum whenever I plug that into the chain. I was able to eliminate a good amount by plugging everything into my pro900, but as soon as I put the ts9 in the chain in any order the recorded signal is almost unusable... Which is essentially why I bought my X-Amp because I thought it may have been a problem with my Firestudio's outs and the output of the cables themselves.
