Is steve coming back?

Dudes, this morning I had a spider on the outside of my driver's side car window. I was watching it in anticipation of what it might do (I wanted to put my window down but my fear of spiders made me think twice). So there I am watching it, and it just starts TWITCHING. Then it twitches some more, then it just starts scrunching up and twisting around and all that jazz. Then I realize it's shedding its skin when I start seeing double sets of legs. It took a break once it got all of it's brand new legs loose, but the rest of it's body was scrunched up into a little ball in a shell of skin. Totally resembled a tentacled alien of some sort. Or a squid.....

Also it was the first time I saw a spider SHED!

HOLY, that's pretty cool!
I had no idea Spiders shed!

yeah, steve dodging the question is gay. He can just say, I left nevermore for private reasons, or i'm coming back in the year of eightynine. Yeah he is a great fit on TGE, but Nevermore is a band, not a guitarist or any other member for that reason.
I think that steve just like the DVD is a hoax.

for once, you make a post that's reasonable

also, Steve only wrote/played guitar solos on most of the tracks on TGE. he only had writing credits on 3 songs

saying he was a great fit is odd, because you could tell there wasn't a good "flow" from song to song. he had good songs, sure, but to say that he was a great fit is a little overboard. to me, the cd lacks in "flow". hell, even DHIADW flowed together better

sorry will, we've already established that loomis shines best when he has a guitarist friend he can use to bounce ideas

he didn't do any idea bouncing on TGE. Steve wrote 3 songs and brought them in, thus making the cd flow unevenly

I'm not talking about the content being GOOD or not. I'm talking about the overall flow and mood of the record. DHIADW flows better, but DNB flows better than DHIADW. Of course, history shows that Loomis works better when he feeds off of other guitarists, but TGE had no "feeding"

Well said and I couldnt agree more.

i disagree. TGE flows really well musically IMHO, the transitions between the songs flow really well. example look at song placement sentient6-medicated nation-holocaust of thought-sell my heart for stones.
Sentient 6 ends heavy leading very well into medicated nation, while the holocaust of thought serves as a great transition into a ballad. IMHO, TGE is equal to PoE in terms of greatness (my 2 favs)

On the topic of Steve coming back or not, there is also the posibilty that he had not made up his mind yet.

Also there was no feeding on DNB or POE as far as writting credits go, on both albums just like TGE there were songs when jeff traded solos with whoever was playing guitar in the band at that moment

as for the last part of your post, no. both guitarists combined riffs for POE and DNB.

on the 2nd to last part of your post, he isn't on the sites anymore. also, who's to say that it would have been Steve's decision? He could have EITHER quit or been removed.

besides, it's all speculation right now, anyway. who knows besides the band? NOBODY!

I find nothing transitional about The Holocaust of Thought. It sticks out like a sore thumb, to use the idiom. Seriously, what kind of musical sense does it make?! (none, rhetorical question)

from te WD interview I've made on Sziget fest:
"Uhm, I think he moved to London, everybody wants to know what’s the situation with him, you should probably ask him."
than he laughed, and told me that usual blabla about the kidney transplant and he can't go on tour...
but his eyes and face said a lot more about it...

are you guys really whining about flow? can you say passenger? ophidian? hurting words? cenotaph? nouemon?

come on.

and credits? how accurate do you believe credits to be? the BAND is in the studio. the HUMANS. they all collaborate and it effects the album. Nevermore members (and MANY band members in general) have commented on how much a producer affects the quality of songs. and producers aren't credited for songs.

Ophidian is the intro to the CD
Noumenon was written by Kelly Gray
Hurting Words is a great song. it's the last 2 tracks on the cd that suck
cenotaph is a good song, and it DOES flow
Passenger lacks to a degree, yes

Hard to say, I most always skip passenger, but the few times I am in the mood for it, it doesn't feel disjointed with the rest of the disc.

otherwise, I concur with what Bozzy said about those tracks, other than to add I have no problems with Noumenon.

you guys are analysing the tracks individually. wtg. (barring your ophidian call, but give me a break... beyond within would be a far better intro)

flow has nothing to do with how good a track or an album is

Passenger DOES flow into and out of the tracks well... sure, it may be "boring", but it fits the transitions

nwo, back to the topic at hand

questionable Steve presence!
