And possibly other DT members hidden?

(Video can be found here.)

woah, thanks for posting links to the videos. Ive never ever seen these before. woohoo.

I didnt know DT and the haunted were really friendly. It migt be to do with the haunted's change of lable. New Haunted album is such a killer CD.

EDIT: It looks like a way similar studio to the one the Lost to apathy vid was made in. Maybe its got something to do with that.

The solo is ace when everyone starts cirlce pitting and Anders is right in the middle. he's such a shred master.

Yes, it's them. I can confirm that. Swedes will also recognize "Bröderna hårdrock" (Pelle och Erik Gustafsson från Nifelheim).

@King Chaos: I guess both DT and The Haunted used the same director for their video.

@Tranquillian: Thanks for the confirmation. Now I can sleep easier tonight. :)

They used the same director but thankfully the videos don't look the same. Not that any of them are bad, but just that it would look cheap if both videos were similar.

Kinda like that In Flames vs. Soilwork video? :D

Yeah, but those were meant to be connected. Dismember - Dreaming in red vs Entombed - Hollowman is another example of bands sharing director and props.

So are the members of the two bands really good buds? I know Inflames and DT were close but I didnt know The Haunted and DT were... or are the cameos the label's Idea? (I dont know why the lable would suggest such a thing, as its not exactly sinergy style advertising, but ye never know what could be going through CM's mastermind).

It would be so awesome to hang out with Anders Bjorler and Nik Sundin... 2 guys I really look at in the same inspiring light. Ive already hung out with Bjorler to some extent. [/fuckin Fanboy speech]

I think it's better if you ask any of the bands when you meet them, or wait for Niklas to answer here.

You gotta love RealPlayer there is what i got "RealPlayer is not the default player for some media types, do you want to correct that?" I should correct the original problem and get rid of realplayer completly.

or get the full version and crack it: you can then access all the menus to make the bastard stop pestering you and lie silent and motionless forever except on the (hopefully) rare occasions when you absolutely have to use it. it worked for me.

One of the guys from Set My Path can be seen in the video - he lives like, really close to where I live and I think we went to the same school and so on. OMG OMG! Check their site, I might aswell plug for them here, they're good; http://www.setmypath.tk/

Just as Tranquillian wrote earlier, DT shot their video at the same location with the same director so they obviously knew where to go. The Haunted went out and pretty much, well, advertised about their video when they searched for extras - it's pretty natural that they're gonna throw in a few familiar faces from their past in the crowd. They definitely share parts of their history since the scene in Gothenburg is pretty small, it would be strange if they haven't had contact since like the early 90ies.

Anyway, as some of you might know, The Haunted got kind of high jacked by Earache records since they thought that 3 of the old At The Gates members in the same band equaled The Haunted being ATG. That's pretty funny if you consider that the band started off with Jensen leaving Linköping; He moved to Gothenburg to start a band with Adrian. Both of them had plans of working together back in the days when both ATG and Seance were functional bands, they were old tourmates and everything. They made a short tour in the UK that ended in disaster btw. Their bus broke down and they got stuck somewhere in England without any money, but they managed to get back home anyway, I've seen some pics from that very drunk ferry trip they made from Newcastle to Gothenburg online somewhere. Back to Earache snappin' The Haunted: It gets even stranger when you consider the work that Dolving and especially Jensen put into that first album. Earache Records obviously saw and took the chance to cash in on talented musicians hard work and that just recently ended in a really shameful way with that 3 bonus tracks edition thing of "One Kill Wonder" that Earache released without even asking the band for permission. IMHO; It's just one example of the cynic ways record companies work. If we turn back the clock to when Dolving first left The Haunted back in '99: He for various reasons - one of them was the way Earache Records acted and still acts for some strange reason. That label is pretty much a sinking ship these days, I mean, their sublabel is almost better than the actual record company. The Haunted apparently lost their management deal since those guys knew that you couldn't work with Earache and that says it all?

Now, to get some background here; When Dolving left The Haunted he moved on, left the metalscene and formed his own band and record company and in other words, he went into a DIY-situation where he could use his creativity freely without having a label trying to tell you what to write. He was pretty active during those years both as a musician and a debater and he has written a lot of thoughtful stuff about society and other things but especially about the music industry. When Marco left the band 2003 and the band had fullfilled ATG's old contract with Earache - Dolving was asked to return and that must have been close to an ideal situation for him. They got many offers but CM apparently had the best offer by far. From what I've heard and read in various interviews, CM has no influence of the bands creative stuff - it's not limited in that way - it's more of a distribution contract than a traditional record deal. My guess is that the background with Earache and the return of Dolving with his background probably helped them to close that deal. Sooooooo, I highly doubt that CM has anything to do with the flashing of label mates in the video. :)

Perk #1115 of being a celeb: you get to appear in music videos of your fave bands.

I want to be in a TBDM or RC video now!!!! Playing what role? You can imagine. :p
