~) I have no interest in this Diva dance pop shit, but Ill tell ya' I will put my money on Whitney Houston over any of those silly girls. I am not a fan of Whitneys music, but I appreciate her skill as a vocalist. The woman has about ninety teeth, still probably looks as good as any of those that were mentioned and sings better than all of them put together. Like I said, I don't really care for her music and don't own any of her stuff, but probably a year ago I was flipping channels and VH1 had an oldschool (not metal, just oldschool music) on it and had WHitney doing some song about a preacher. It was from a soundtrack. I had to stop there and listen to her sing.
With the exception of Barbara Streisand I have never heard any woman with more control over her voice than she. Speaking from a metal-head's point of view, I couldn't be bored more with her music. Speaking from a musician's point of view, I couldn't be much more impressed. "Pop" music or not, she worked her ass off to hone her voice to get to that skill level.
