Its a stupid thing to argue about really. Music is very personal and we all have different taste. All we can do is to say what we prefer. To me both albums are great and pretty close to eachother in quality. No one can change that even if they try to post their opinions on whch track they like and dislike.

This thread basically comes from a recurring dispute between me and ozzman.
I wouldn't call either album great, but for a band that's been going for over 20 years they're impressive.

thanks for the compliment, hail Megadeth.

good to see people actually liked United Abominations.
I don't actually hate you based on your opinion on one album, obviously.
I liked UA and TSHF both, almost equally at times, but think that UA is a superior album.
My main interest in megadeth these days is seeing them live, since I've seen them twice recently (once with Drover, once with Brodrick) and both times they just kicked my ass. It's nice to see an 80's thrash band that can still deliver their old stuff with full force and a vocalist who still sounds the same and doesn't add "-ah" to the end of every line.

The new version of A Tout Le Monde is absolutely terrible. Nothing against Cristina Scabbia, I just think it's very bad IMO.

I think the new "a tout le monde" gets to much shit actually. I dont find it to be bad. What is repulsive is that they decided to re-record it. I usually dont like when bands to that kind of stuff. Especially just putting it on a regular album. A bonus thing for a greatest hits thats ok but not like this. I prefer the original but I like the new version. However it has nothing to do on an actual new Megadeth album.

I don't like the vocal intro part. His voice seems all over the place. I hate when Scabbia's just repeats Dave's lines, but it's fine when she sings a part alone.

CW is the one Megadeth album I have a weird problem with. It has good song and all but I rarely find myself being able to listen to it and like it all the way through. The flow is weird on that one and I think alot of songs just blend into eachother.

CW was just sort of the opposite of an album that 'clicks'. I like it a bit at first, but all of a sudden I just ended up hating it. It seems so generic and soulless. Risk at least sounds like Dave gave half a damn, and has some decent tracks.

Cryptic Writings is hilarious in that the band obviously put no thought into the tracklisting. Trust and Almost Honest together? Two songs about the exact same thing opening the album? Whoops.
