It's that time... your best albums of 2006

Thanks for listing stuff that you have yet to hear! So few people are able get a feel for an album without actually giving it a listen...Bravo!

I meant stuff that is slated for release this year that I'm anticipating by acts that I know have typically put out above average material, you douchebag.

hmm!

I have not heard of Flat Earth Society so I looked them up, and I am intrigued!

I am downloading mp3s

I think that you will enjoy them. I have been trying to acquire their former outing, X-Legged Sally, but the albums are outrageously expensive. :(

I didn't particularly hate it, but after the initial excitement of "whoa they're doing something new and went heavy again" wore off, it really was not that great to listen to. I haven't listened in perhaps months now, but I recall "Luna" being about the only standout track on the disc, and even that was really subpar, but it hearkened to what they do best at least.

Well, I said hate sort of flippantly. It's not unlistenable and I have no intention to take the cd and burn it, but it does feel subpar. Hell, I'd go as far to say I don't enjoy it whatsoever.

The only albums I even bought that came out this year were SYL, LoG, and Amon Amarth.

Lamb of God sucked, I returned it.

Strapping Young Lad gets a 6.

Amon Amarth gets an 8.
