I fail to see what is so reputation worthy in metalskater7 mindless ramblings that you have decided to rep him twice. In fact, he has not even posted his list of best albums of 2006 in this thread, yet mocks and ridicules other people choices, goes to show that he lives up to his "bumptious and arrogant" tittle.

He thinks everyone needs to listen to bands like Angra, Rhapsody, Dragonforce, Kamelot, etc so that they can be cool like him.

I have right next to me several CDs by those bands (with the exception of Dragonforce) and I listen to them every once in a while, not as much as I used to a few years ago. That was before you even decided to register in this board. And I dare to bet that you weren't into those bands back then.

I loved Starless Aeon (got it on a sampler from The End), and bought it based on how good that track was... most of it was just mid-paced, boring melo-death, and the lyrics irked me a lot. Jail was not good to Jon's brain, I think.

I didn't think Reinkaos was as bad as everyone made it out to be, but it wasn't such a strong album. A lot of it sounded like a rehash of the music from Clayman, but not as good.
I will say that as cheesy and silly as a lot of it was, the music was played with a lot of feeling and conviction (no pun intended).

from reading reviews, I get the impression that it should find its appeal mostly to fans of (by now) generic worn-out melodic death metal, but if someone was looking for something like dissection's earlier albums they'd be sorely disappointed.

That said, I haven't heard it because I heard thusly that it's crap.
