so i'm guessing as fas as metal amplification goes, marshall heads are pretty much the shit?

Pretty much. There are some higher end ones with much higher price tags (Engl, Bogner) but you really cant go wrong with a nice Marshall tube head.

ehhh not really, i use it because i got it for free, and i use one of these with it.

that makes my marshall head sound metal.

Mine? Mine's a Valvestate 100 watt, its not a tube amp, its pretty low end marshall. but like i said.. it was free.
