i enjoyed this Wolves vid ... this looks the gig in Brooklyn I went to see them at ... they do seem to always attract a hipster crowd more than a metal one. or is the venues they choose to play?

They attract the oddest crowds... think it has something to do with the punk elements present in the music or something. I don't get why they're so fucking popular... Great music, but what sets them aside from the rest of the black metal scene besides the fact that they don't dress up?

you might be onto something ... but I think the punk element comes from their stage presence more than the music. their whole "act" is kind of like these new trendy emo bands ... witness the drama ensuieng at around 12:40
