True story.
The interesting thing is that I look for the same thing in electronic music as I do in metal - a solid and fat groove with some garnering on top of it in different forms. It can be a brutal groove with some really harmonic/atmospheric things on top or it can be something entirely different but it still has to have that awesome foundation. The same thing is what I look for in metal all the time which is why "djent" music is high up in my list because of the heavy foundation with atmospheric shit on top.
So it turns out that I can find the same enjoyment in electronic music as I can in metal, and I really mean the same "feeling". Electronic music can be just as "brutal" as the br00tz metal. It's all in your head.
Right now I don't feel like working on my album anymore because of two things: a) no vocals b) this new discovery.
I might explore the electronic world instead, I don't know. I would like to finish my album though, fucking god damn vocals!
