Many GD fans have seen them HUNDREDS of times, same thing goes for Phish...

Lol I know but I wouldn't really consider many people on this forum part of the "jam band crowd".

Never really heard jam bands, but I love the jazz counterparts so it is definatly something I need to check out. Would someone here name a few (like not a list), mabye a good intro album and a couple of the best, or the best live one? It'd be apprectiated.

I'm from Vermont so I gotta say Phish. (I actually live like 5 minutes from Trey Anastasio's house) . I also really like John Coltrane (not really a band). I might get a lot of shit for this...but I enjoy some of DMB's live stuff. They put on a pretty good show, and they never play "album versions" live.
