Anyone know of any good japanese metal bands? im going to japan for 2 weeks in july, just wondering if there's anything i should check out

Only Japanese metal band I've heard of is Sigh, though I've never heard their music.

Sigh, Abigail, Cutthroat (members of Sigh and Abigail), Defiled, Hellchild, Melt Banana, Tyrant, Bassaium, Sabbat, Funeral Rites, Loudness, Yellow Machine Gun, , umm.... I can't think of any more that might still be around. Too much beer makes me lose track of these things. S.O.B (or is it SxOxB?)is still around, but they became homosexual after Tottsuan killed himself. They have a DJ now. Haw haw.

They are one of the leaders in Japanese hard rock/heavy metal.

Fatima Hill are more like Nightwish. Loudness is classic. I still have a pile of their stuff on vinyl. I'd love to get some of it on CD, though.
