Jazz Slap Solo Tone Settings.

Sorry if this question has been asked, I used the search function and it didn't bring any topics on my question.

That question is how does Chris get that nice fat sound out his guitar in the Slap solo in this video:

Is it the tone settings, or the strings? I am using 60 on my B string would I need to get a thicker string to get that nice sound?

i also wondered bout the tone. appears to be one of the nicest clean sounds, chris came across with.. really top notch!

That is perhaps the greatest clean tone I have ever heard. I assume that it would be in the tone settings, but having a heavier low B would probably help in making slap a bit easier.
