I don't think he meant it seriously. He was really just tapping into the feeling that Dimebag can be lauded sycophantically because he happened to be dead. Yes it was tragic, yes he was talented, yes he seemed like a nice chap, but why set him on a pedestal he may not deserve, if one considers his achievements in an objective manner?
