he's moved on to kids who argue about tone and pickups on forums all day and masturbate to videos of harmonic minor sweep picking.

Exactly. Come on, this is fast food music. It has no substance.

It's no different than a Korn album in the sense that it's instant gratification music.

I understand you haven't gotten over him leaving Nevermore, but making a fool of yourselves is not the answer.

They are so fucking right. And I'm a shredhead and shrapnel fan myself! Though I wouldn't go so far to call it fast food music or compare it to Korn, but he really changed his style to "look at this new version of the same song with even more fast licks".

btw: one of the best instrumental records of the last couple of years was Steve Smythe's Esseness Project, so much better than Zero Order Phase, but noone seemed to care about it...

My prediction:

Jeff rejoins Nevermore in the future, they put out an album and it is in no way reminiscent of "classic" Nevermore like This Godless Endeavor or those real vintage records with six string guitars on them, but instead some "half-assed songwriting with cheesy lyrics. Jeff should just quit again and do solo stuff or just put the guitar down 'cus he just can't do anything right because he plays a seven string and sweeps and stuff."

:Smug:

I am pissed that he left nevermore but at the same time I am not going to write off whatever else he does, or dismiss the fact that he was a huge part of Nevermore and is a great guitarist.

saw jeff play tonight. Was amazing. I showed up during the second band and but came during Jeff's set. Then I left right after. awesome!

Why do you assume the lyrics would be cheesy, just wondering since I don't have a track record of stupid lyrics
