This is more hard rock oriented, but I'm an old AIC fan since the first album and have been since. AIC was one of the bands that made me want to play music, and Jerry Cantrell's new album has continued in that vein. Great harmonies and good riffs are all throughout this album, and Jerry has done his best solo work to date IMO.

Layne will always be missed, but Jerry has proven with this album that AIC wasn't just Layne Staley. It sounds like a cross between Dirt and Jar of Flies only without Layne. I highly recommend it if you are a fan. One of the best albums I've bought this year.

IMO Facelift was by far better than jar of flies. I have no idea about this solo project now.
