Didn't just about every band wear makeup at one point or another? *coughevenanathemacough* Besides that, they took to wearing those alien masks before long, and then just dropped any image completely. You have to appreciate the bullet holes in the forehead look though.

And they don't sound anything like fucking Coal Chamber. Just the time changes alone bring them aeons above all those other bands, plus they don't rap.

Korn were just ripping off Anthrax/Public Enemy, Faith No More, Rage Against the Machine, Biohazard and Clawfinger anyway. Hardly an original band themselves.

I don't know why, but Meshuggah never really did anything for me. I mean, I respect them and all, and have seen them live a few times, but I think they just go completely over my head or something.

But yeah, it's like comparing the singer in Nightwish to a proper opera singer. One's coming from a looser, pop direction, and the other is coming from a strict, technical direction. I prefer the more accessible of the two, in both cases.

Meshuggah and Mudvayne really aren't even on the same planet.
