The difference being that they like it and people from Long Island don't. If you said "Lawn Guyland" in front of me, I'd smack your mouth. I wouldn't even think about it, it's just instinct.
Shit, I was wrong. The obnoxious chicks were from Jersey. A couple of them were pretty hot, but obnoxious as hell. There was one woman, though, who said she was from Long Island and she pronounced it in a way that would get her slapped by Brat. The only time I spoke with her was on an elevator, so I didn't know much about her other than what she said. She didn't seem too obnoxious, though, other than the fact she had never seen any of the Star Wars movies (only three at that point) and did not plan on ever doing so. Lost all sorts of points right there.
