John RAMBO

After Rocky Balboa I'll give Stallone the benefit of the doubt. Now how do I convince him to do Tango and Cash 2?

NO! They need to leave that classic exactly where they left it. No altering that. Although they do need to do a sequel to Big Trouble in Little China. Everyone involved with the first one (Carpenter, Russell, etc...) really want to do it, and infact have the script written to a degree, but 20th Century Fox won't let em touch it... fucking pricks.

IF I'M NOT BACK IN 10 MINUTES, CALL THE PRESIDENT!

His getup is comical, but the action is bloodier +1

Having grown up on 80s action films, I'll have to see this one eventually, if just for the throat cutting and ridiculous explosions ;)

the other day we watched Soldier, and last night we watched The Thing and Tango & Cash on the projector. movie theater in your living room that you can smoke and drink in = fucking win.

if someone started a Russell Cult i would totally join.

That looks incredible. He tied off Rocky quite nicely, and this seems pretty similar in that respect.

Except in Rocky he lost the war, in Rambo he's tearing throats out. :D

Nah, Rocky didnt lose anything in most respects. :)

I think the movie looks pretty damn cool. Very Rambo-ish, with a lot of violence and gore. And yeah, I believe this will be the end of the man. I think he'll die in it. Its not like it really matters anyway. Stallone has already said that he won't be revisiting the Rambo series again after this. Plus, it would probably make a cool ending with Rambo being buried at Arlington next to Trautman (Who I assume they will recognize as being dead, as Richard Crenna passed away some time ago).

Surprisingly, most of what I've read, as far as people's opinions on the trailer, has been positive. I thought it'd get slammed for sure.

It's an emotionally mature attempt at giving the series some reflective finality, while still retaining what made the originals such popular movies. He done it with Rocky and it seems he will do it again with Rambo.

Also, the fact that he shoots a man in half and rips out a dudes throat hardly hinders the cause. :)

Bump with new trailers:

Not as fond of these ones, as they appear to have changed the dialogue, the music doesn't create the same atmosphere, and the title looks too similar to something frivolous like Rush Hour. Not terrible, though.

With regards to the title confusion, this article appears to explain it:

As for calls of Sly's "ageing well", thank Botox, and lots of it.

Still quite excited...
