Jorn Lande recommendations

Hi all,
I think I've heard Jorn mentioned here before...

If so, I'm wondering if anyone can recommend some of his work?
I already have Kotzev's "Nostradamus" and Mundanus Imperium's record, both of which he contributes to. Hi vocals simply blow me away....love the power behind them.

Are his solo records any good?
How 'bout the band Masterplan? Where should I start?
Or is Ark the place to begin?

Damn, this fellow has his hands on everything!

ARK is the place to begin and end as well. IMHO ARK's "Burn the Sun" album is the best he ever did by far! And I love some of the other stuff he did. But "Burn the Sun" is a classic in my book.

Ark is definitely the most original band he's been part of, but also the least accessible in a way. Burn the Sun is awesome!

I also dig both Masterplan records, fortunately they're not another Helloween bad clone. Catchy melodic metal with some AOR and prog hints, I'm all for that

As for his solo records my favorite is "Worldchanger" by far, quite diverse for a melodic rock/metal album, showcasing all Jorn's influences. Hellhammer from Mayhem plays the drums on this one!

He's also singing on the brand new Allen / Lande project, pretty good if you like 80's Whitesnake and Journey.

I'm just starting getting into this guy myself. He was such a small player on the Kotzev project that I hardly noticed him. But he landed on my radar recently when a good friend (rokk!) gave me a cdr of Beyond Twilight - Section X. Now that album doesn't have Jorne on vocals, but it was so kick ass (top-5 of '05) that I ordered their first release: Devil's Hall of Fame. That album DOES have Jorne on vocals, and man...that dude has a big set of pipes on him! I definitely need to get more of his work.

Ark - Burn the Sun & Masterplan - S/T are his best work, IMO. He also did an album with Millenium called 'Hourglass' that is more melodic hard rock, if that is to your tastes...it's great. Pretty much everything this guy touches is gold. The guy is just a phenomenal singer.

I would reccomend Beyond Twilight the most. While he has a good voice he has a horrible habit of saying "Baby" "Yeah" and other cliche platitudes.

I think Nostradameus is an excellent cd, although I don't think Jorn adds too much to it. I'd pick the first Masterplan as my favorite with Jorn.
