JUDAS PRIEST "PAINKILLER"

jah, The Doors rock

The beatles... never been a big fan, nor a big hater.

My friend loves The Doors, me and him have broken down all their songs in great detail both drunk, sober and high. Good shits when you start really going into it.

Painkiller rocked ... and it was all Scott Travis' fault for waking them up ... not like the rest of the band all of a sudden became quasi thrashers.

Travis is a beast.

the problem with priest is the songwriting. for every gem there are eight tracks of meh.

but as for Maiden...

we watched Rock in Rio this weekend. debatably a "greatest hits" setlist (can be argued infinatum (sp) )...if Bruce isn't the hardest working frontman in metal, then someone tell me who is. sure, we did have the predicted bits: Harris strafed the audience with his bass, Gers shows all the show moves from the patented Yngwie school of entertainment...but Murray is a treat to watch play, and Nicko is....Nicko.

and the bonus dvd was inessential but choice...watching the evil ones spending their free time golfing, fishing, and playing on flight simulators was ... kinda cool.

i like it again

god damn this should be one of the official BEER DRINKING ALBUMS

together with "master of puppets", any iron maiden album, and.. well.. ya

bah, anyone who listens to crystal ship and she's so heavy (i want you) and says how "overrated" the doors and beatles are is a grade a moran.
as a beatles and doors fan i am obligated to retort; both bands are overrated...the beatles moreso but in both cases many people seem to willing to believe that every song they ever wrote is a bona fide classic.

and eleanor rigby is even more fucking intense than she's so heavy, revolver might be my favorite beatles album :kickass:

well i can agree with that. i don't really care for the beatles early stuff just like i don't dig on much of the doors late stuff.

but abbey road and the doors first album? oh man, music can't get much better.

abbey road is like the most incredible album ever. maybe not my favorite #1 of all time, but shit i'm not stupid enough to put one of my petty favorite bands above it just because they touch me on an "i was there" type of feelings.

i mean that shit is pretty factual.
