June 16th Vic gig cancelled!!!

SCREW VIC ON THE PARK!!!!!!
Familiar saying isn't it although it's been a couple of years since i said it with feeling!
Can you believe like a time warp the venue has had a anti Metal and Punk wobbly again and cancelled those gigs including yours truly. Even though the booking agent(a different one since the last time we were robbed) had assured me METAL was okay in their now and this show has been booked for over a month already i get the big screw you email today!! By ringing the booker and then going into the venue to speak to the liscencee it appears they blame each other for this mess and again myself and the bands get screwed in the middle. No matter that money has already been spent on poster/flyers as well as handing them out and about. It matters not that the bands had been looking forward to playing and DARKER HALF organising filming and lights and of course it matters not that you guys wanna see the bands.pffft...screwed!
What is left to be said? I'm sorry but hey they should apologise to all involved, change their blinded views and get over their middle ages belief that heavy music is the work of the devil and destroys all those meek and dull.It may kill some i guess but you know what i mean.
The gig will be put forward to another date and venue and still hope to get your support.Anyone who feels like writing letters of well constructed anger and frustration etc etc please do email the drum media and like minded press to let everyone know once more what social predjudice is all about.

What a pack of motherfuckers... maybe you should start promoting the gigs as "dance/rnb" nights to the venues so they don't realise it's a metal gig until we're already upon them.

Anyone who feels like writing letters of well constructed anger and frustration etc etc please do email the drum media and like minded press to let everyone know once more what social predjudice is all about.

I don't think The Drum Media is a large enough publication to be able to accommodate one of my rants.

Shakes head at Vic on the Park. I don't understand this attitude. There are more fights and more macho wankers at any trendy pub in the city on any night of the week. I don't remember the last time there was a fight at a metal gig or even the slightest bit of bad attitude. People see the black shirts and long hair and immediately fall back on this stereotype thats so many decades out of date it's ridiculous.
