Just got a new microphone, comparison clip

Just got a heil pr-20 dynamic mic 20 minutes ago, its the same price as a sm57 so i also made some quick comparison clips

note that this is the first mic position i tried, and first amp settings etc.
tried to have exact same position on both mics, both are a little outside dustcap edge and 1,5 inch from grill

the pr20 is fucking sick on snare, I prefer the pr30 for guitars, I usually mix it with other mics though

yea its snare and vocals its made for, sm57 beats it at distorted guitars, but i think the pr20 is better on clean electric guitar, it also works good on acoustic guitar

im going to try double miking with sm57 and pr20 later on the cabinet
