Just had my first flying lesson

Well you know when you drive a car?

Flying is nowt like that lol

Air traffic control talk a load of bollocks but very important bollocks all the same. They also seem to think I am called Roger.

Pulling onto the runway is scary, imagine your instructor telling you to pull out of a junction onto a road that wagon travel along at 100+ Mph and you not knowing if one is on its way towards you????

The other thing that freaked me is ATC, G-BKAS you have traffic at one o clock tomohawk max altitude 3500 range 3 miles. I still aint seen it.

Hahahahahaha!!!

Going 30mph along a country road scares me so fuck that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on your first flight! I have always wanted to learn to fly, but I am afraid that my slight hearing loss would disqualify me from the FAA medical exam, even for a Private license. My audiologist thinks he can get me through but I haven't persued it.

Jayhawk Jason

I take lessons when I can afford them, they are around $250 per hour.

I need to rack up 45 hours flying and god only knows how many hours of ground school.

But one day I will get my licence.

Then on for my commercial pilots licence.

As for hearing loss, I am partially blind in my right eye (due to a scar over my optic nerve)

The examinations are basically to say you don't have like angina or epilepsy and are generally fit.

wow thats so amazing in a years time i take my driving test and thats hard i carnt image how difficut flying must be. It must be amazing though when you just flying though the air looking down at the the whole scenery. sorry to sound poncey but its always been a dream of mine to get a piolts licence you rock =)
