just when I though they couldn't get more annoying....

I was at my local Gamestop today looking at stuff. While I was looking there is this video that plays on a t.v. that talks about video games and such. Anyway, it suddenly goes to this segment about Dragonforce having a song in some Guitar Hero game or something and the guy has a short interview with Herman Li. The guy talks about how successful Dragonforce has been with the whole Guitar Hero crowd and whatnot and says something along the lines of a new Dragonforce album coming out this summer. He then mentions how this new album is "one of the most anticipated albums of 2008" and all that garbage.

This story is only relevant becuase just when I thought Dragonforce couldn't be more annoying, this topped the cake. I don't know what it was about that video that hit me but I just wanted to punch the t.v. into oblivion. It really just bothers me so much how dumb these stupid Guitar Hero high school kids, most whom know nothing about metal, think that Dragonforce is oh so talented and skilled. Oh and then the video also mentioned that Dragonforce is going to tour with Slipknot......SLIPKNOT!? Are you serious!?

End rant...

haha I agree dude so much, Guitar Hero is a sweet game, but how much Dragon Force payed them to get their soing in the game I dunno, but I knew it would pay off for them in the end! I say kudos to them for that, however, this does bug me alot. Since Dragonforce is far from most anticipated, it probably will be now because the majority of the kids, adults, or anyone playing these games believe they are guitar pros, and Dragonforce is like the ending song, and known to be the MOST DIFFICULT song ni the game. So for these noobs they think being the most difficult song is being the most high class musicians, its sad but true. I had a conversation with a random on public transit once and I mentioned to him how I play guitar, he went into a rant "Yeah you do, I rock at guitar, I can beat Dragonforce and hard with 96%!" And he was 110% serious, so yeh I can see the issue :(

But the FYI the game alone is a fun and addictive game, like listening to the radio but with something to do while doing it :)

I'm totally ok with this piece of news since I don't play either Dragonforce or Guitar Hero. I once tried Shredz64 (the Commodore64 -conversion) but without proper controller I got bored rather quickly.

I always like to mention to the stupid GH kids that think DF is so awesome one thing.

It is much harder to play DF in GH than it is to actually play their songs on a real guitar. I tell them that they are wasting their time getting good at playing it in GH when they could spend way less time learning to actually play it on a real guitar. They always look at me funny.....

This is one thing I keep on hearing... "The songs are so much harder to play in GH than real life!" I believe Dave Mustaine even said that GH was harder than real guitar.

This can be no farther from the truth. The reason Dave can play real guitar better than GH is because he's spent 1000s of hours playing real guitar. In order to play a real guitar solo from one of the songs in GH, it'd take years, and sometimes decades (depending on the song) of practise. I beat GH on expert after a few weeks, and mastered it after a few months. A few months on guitar, you can barely play a Green Day song all the way through.
"Wow, there are so many notes! I may be here all night until I get this passage!" ... Play real guitar for the first time and see how long it takes you.

You are a guitar hero god:headbang: I am still crap on medium:lol:

People who spend their time playing guitar hero don't realize that Guitar Hero doesn't make them smarter like real Guitar does. So therefore, I just immediately declare anybody who plays Guitar Hero and trash talks real guitar to be an inferior being to myself. Yes, it does make me look like an ass hole, but it still makes me feel better. And at the end of the day, isn't the only thing that matters really just knowing that Guitar Hero Nerds are off somewhere in denial while they fap to videos of themselves playing Dragonforce on Expert, using their own tears for lubricant?

And feeling better is very important:kickass:

The difference between Guitar Hero and Guitar is negligent in a basement or bedroom. However, on a stage fronting 100,000 people, you'll only fine a population of one of the two.

Guitar hero is a fun game to play with your buddies. Dragonforce is a horrible band but they're popular with a crowd that I chose to not associate myself with. I just don't understand why people feel like they need to talk down on people who want to have fun playing a game.

Yeah, some people take it too far, but people take Halo too far. Hell, i've broken 2 separate gamecube controllers from throwing them across the room because of the MegaMan X collection. Seriously, i had to give it back to my singer before i finished any of the games because i was getting too pissed off.

To be fair though, the gamecube controller is not set up well for those games at all. It's awesome for games that were designed for it, but those certainly were not. I'm still pissed about those fucking games.

Apparently, just as delusional kids think Guitar Hero makes them great guitarists, the US Army thinks that people who excel at Halo would make good soldiers. Possibly. But we don't have rechargeable shields or sticky grenades.

Play a trick on them....sneak in their room, and replace the plastic one with a real one, sheet music, and a cheap little amp.

Dude, there's a Megaman X COLLECTION?

How did I not know about this, and why was I not informed?

I've never been a game person and not sure why, physical sports yes but not games.

So as a smart ass I will say, perhaps Dragonfarce and Guitar hero are a perfect match of similiar fundamentals
