I am going for a hatebreed tone...but i was told they use DLS-100 and MODE4........ :Puke: YUK!

So what would you recomend...I was thinking MESA Dual! /Mesacab/TS9/Les paul...

What whould you do?

Get a mahogany body guitar with EMG 85/81 pickups. Get a TS9 pedal and get it modded by Robert Keeley. And go with any of the following amps:

Peavey 5150/6505 (I or II, + or not, doesn't matter, your preference)
Peavey XXX, JSx, or XSr™ (again, your preference)
Mesa Dual/Triple Rec or Mark IV
Krank Rev 1 or Krankenstein
Framus Cobra
Engl Powerball

Mesa cab with V30s.

That's my 2 cents. The Mode 4 is lame, any high gain tube amp on the market that I've played sounds better.

+1
I might also add an Engl Savage to that list.

Anyone have experience with the Bogner Uberschall or Ecstasy? I know the Bogner x-pattern cabs have been mentioned, but I've been wondering if they're worth the price, if there's a better way to get in that territory, if it sounds half decent recorded, et cetera.

would be interesting if you're from europe or states or somewhere else!

I think all amps Kazrog mentioned could work!
Btw I play a Soldano Hot Rod and they can get brutal (with a TS and V30 Cab) too...
There was just the one channel version going for 720EUR on ebay which me thinks is quite cheap!
but a recto sounds still heavier...
Dunno about the Avenger...

Mesa boogie Triple/Dual Rectifier. Propably the best rock/metal amp ever made in my opinion. Actually any Mesa could beat 5150 or 6505 in tone hands down... that's of course my opinion. I just love the mesa stuff. I've got a small 30watt F-30 amp from mesa. It just sounds so fucking huge it's not even funny. So yeah, Mesa all the way!

We have a Bogner Ubershall at the studio....it generally wins against all others. But I am hearing too many good things about the Diezel. Want one bad.

I use the Bogner with a marshall 1960 cab, and sometimes a mesa, so I have no idea if the cab is worth the price.....but I would say the head is great.

What sound are you after?
Death metal? Thrash metal? Numetal? Metal core?

- Death metal/thrash metal: Powerball/5150(6505)/Triplexxx (all tighter than a dual rectifier).
- Numetal/Metalcore: Dual Rectifier or 5150(6505).

Really depends on your playing too! maybe you like more one than another.
Go to a shop and try as many as you can, that's the only advice that comes to mind.

oh... i almost forgot, on the records before the rise of brutality hatebreed were pure 5150 if i remember correctly
