always been one band I think is alright, but I feel is overrated. Me going will depend on the opener.

Because Kamelot was one of those bands that got me into this style of metal, they have that special meaning to me. Karma and The Black Halo are both up there in "favorite albums ever" territory.

But since I've seen them so many times, there are factors that would keep me from going. They really don't mix the setlist up much. And without evidence that they're doing so, there's not much new stuff to see. And yeah, the opener will influence me as well. If it's someone like Amaranthe or Delain or that style...I'll probably sit out...just because I'm not really into that stuff. Time will tell...

I agree with you Palabra: I used to be so in love with their music, but part of what ruined their music for me is that they seemingly never mix up their setlists, and most of the songs they play aren't the ones I want to hear. I might end up going anyways though; if the quantity of good tours is as low next year as it has been this year, then i'll just take what I can get.

Also, Tommy clearly has the range to belt out older Kamelot songs in their original keys (just listen to Seventh Wonder), why do they keep playing in the lower tunings? Probably for the same reason they don't mix up their setlists: laziness.

Never liked Mac Hall but smart move playing there as it's easy to get to by car, bus or LRT. Not sure about AB being Central though

Hmm, I might go to The Palladium show. They told me on Facebook that they are going to be mixing up their set by playing more Black Halo songs. Also, seeing Dragonforce again for old-times sake wouldn't be too bad, but I lost interest in them years ago.

Dragonforce opening for Kamelot...

I really can't tell if this is because of how drastically Dragonforce has declined in popularity/sales, or if it's because of how much more popular Kamelot supposedly is now.
