If Kamelot ever replaces Khan with another singer, I'll probably never buy another Kamelot CD again. I've always been into Kamelot cause of Khan anyway.
if they need to replace Khan, they're not going to find any singer who satisfy their fanbase.

It all comes down to the songwriting. If the songs remain strong, the band will survive.NO TARJA NO NIGHTWISH, RIP NIGHTWISH THEY ARE SCREWED
oh, hello 4 sold out US tours in a year and a half
Case in point:
Bands who have a long-established singer go through this any time said singer leaves and they decide to find a replacement. The two most notable were Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. Even though in Maiden's case, they technically replaced their second singer, Bruce was in the band the longest as singer, and the most notable.

They never said that was why. It could just as well have been because they felt like they didn't have time to rehearse properly on such short notice, which is not the case now. I completely understand Thomas wanting to tour again, with or without Khan. This is his life and his work and they just released a new album that they cannot just leave unpromoted. This time they are better prepared than last fall.
Kamelot is also a far different band now, than they were during their early period with Khan. I have to imagine that some of that progress is because of Thomas. In addition, it goes without saying that Kamelot would have their pick of singers. And the singer goes along way to determining the quality of a Power Metal band.Replacing a singer is one thing but before Khan was in the band Kamelot was a thrird rate BORING power metal band with nothing that stood out.
Never happen in a million years. Thomas is a businessman and his business is Kamelot.Youngblood can start a new band under a Different Moniker and probably get less heat then if he continues Kamelot without Roy.
As much as I like Khan in the studio, his singing live was always a different story.

Khan came in and helped forge the sound they have now along with writing the vocal melodies and such. Khan was the perfect compliment to for Youngblood. I dont see anyone else having that effect. Kamelot should disband if Roy is out. Youngblood can start a new band under a Different Moniker and probably get less heat then if he continues Kamelot without Roy.
So Black Sabbath was a boring, third rate band before Ozzy left and Dio joined?
How'd that vocalist replacement go for Nightwish? Most casual fans certainly associated them with Tarja over any of the other members.
Or Fates Warning? Or Helloween?
What I think (and hope) you are saying is that many great bands have gone on to have fruitful careers beyond the departure of a stand out vocalist.
Furthermore, this is Kamelot.
Yes, they are a great band, but come on.
You guys are comparing them to some quite legendary bands.
And wouldn't the point of using all these legendary bands be to show that if they can do it, anybody can?
