no greek dates as usual... it's their loss. they won't be able to enjoy the best audience on the planet...

its because Greece is a bit out of the way. the cities are all along the eastern shore (Athens, Salonica) so its already pretty far away from Italy. And when you start to calculate (trip) it isnt worth the detour. Pity for the Greeks. :(

I don't get it why people always blame the band itself for not coming to a certain country, as far as I know, it's the organizers of the gig that have to ask the band, not the other way

You are so right!!!! When Peaceville started to organize this tour it seemed that nobody would Katatonia to Switzerland. Then I found out that To/Die/For are coming with them (well I hope they will....) :D . I phoned a friend offered him to help him out with the organization and now there will be a swiss gig  :hotjump:

It's all the matter of money and the number of CDs a band is selling in the country. Of course they won't do a gig somewhere far away if there are not selling many CDs there

the sales are no problem. katatonia are doing very good here trust me. the thing is that promoters charge lots of money for a gig here and they are afraid that if it's not a success (few people show up) they won't make any money. typical "cold" approach to the whole thing. they are no fans so they don't care, they just wanna make money...

it's good this year though. tiamat and the gathering are enough till the summer so i'm happy with that...

Oooh guys!
You can make both!
Soulfly - 16/03/2003
Katatonia - 10/05/2003

"Viva emptiness" seems to be more & more heavier than LFDGD! The cover is really BEAUTIFUL, that's a good departure... ;)
