Katatonia - The Great Cold Distance review

however good that review is: the album is booooring to me. Reviewed it after listening at least five times and found it a rehash of "Viva Emptiness". It does not grow...maybe I should water it...?:tickled:

I like some of the songs. And the vocals are good some times, typical new
katatonia style... But kinda repetitive and often very simple...

I haven't heard ONE solo on the whole album... There's very little dynamics in
this new album. I like Viva emptiness and the old ones better. But hey, this
album has it's small moments too.

Katatonia have always been very simple.

I find the album to be really good. Much like Viva Emptiness. I enjoy it quite a lot, though i havent listened to all of the tracks so far. I think the Renske's vocals have gotten better, and are really awesome on this album.

(I am new to Katatonia, but have heard some of their stuff, and this is pretty dang good)
