I, the Witchfinder.
Well, now that I unfortunately won't be able to do Progpower this year, looks like I will be making this show.
I'm going to miss running into you at the airport and yelling "NOMISOFSIMAN" from a distance.

Ugh talk about drudging up old memories....I had a chance to see them at BraveWords & Bloody Knuckles and wasn't familiar with them so I went back to my hotel room before there set. After reading about them I started listening to the music and was floored and kicked my self for missing there set.
That said, I'm looking forward to the new release and a chance at redemption.
Album is good stuff, nothing really new. I heard a few nice new things added, but overall it is "Katatonia" that is for sure. Good.

This disc has really grown on me. I typically don't care for music that is dominated by a sense of melancholy. But for whatever reason, this disc has kept me captivated.
No. I own Viva Emptiness, but passed over Night is the New Day.Are you familiar with the previous disc, Night Is The New Day? I feel the style is very similar to Deadend Kings, but I prefer it.
Katatonia, like Amorphis, hasn't released a bad album in a really long time...
Night Is The New Day is one of my favorite albums. It's on spotify, I think, give it a shot. It's dark, but it's not sad, IMO. It's really just really good music.
