Kayo Dot - Aura On An Asylum Wall = HOLY SHIT!!!!

WHY!?!? i mean well obviously you don't like it, but it rules, didn't you know that!? :loco:

I could stock on some cheap NSBM instead. Offers welcome.

Seriously, I had purchased it with the highest expectations and all. I have played it twice. Funny because I would never consider parting with my MOTW cds even though I barely listen to them anymore but Kayo Dot? Not my case, it seems. Convince me to give them a last redemption opportunity.

Ellestin, you need many more spins. i loved motW when i got Kayo Dot, and it took me probably 30 serious listens before i "got" it, because i thought it was pretty drab up until then. and now it's 10/10 BUY OR DIE.

it takes a lot of time. whether or not you want to put the effort in is up to you, but it is extremely rewarding.

There are two problems with this post.
1) NSBM > Kayo Dot?!? Have you no soul????
2) You've only listened to it TWICE?!?!? That's puss. No way you could grasp this after 2 listens.

Yes, took me at least 20 listens to get it too. Don't sell that album Ellestin. Don't expect anything out of it though, this kind of magic cannot be invited, it comes by itself...effortlessly.

Fucking amazing song, the dark as hell middle section with the interplay between the violin and trumpet is genius...and that totally unexpected ending, won't spoil the surprise for anyone, but your ears will melt. And those larynx-shredding vocals on Gemini...holy shit.
