Because they want money you retard. Sonic Syndicate are a pretty big band nowadays and they are young, and I'm sure a lot of people actually do want to see them

But it just seems stupid to try and mash together genres that aren't gonna work. I'm not going to a metalcore gig to see death metal, and vice versa.

Crossover is not the same thing as metalcore, just to clear things up. Crossover was old-school hardcore combined with metal, metalcore is mainly newer-school hardcore with genres of metal.

Some of us likes it all dont we? I love both metalcore and black metal. Ive grown up not to be a fucking dick to judge a bands just because of the genre. If its good its good, if its shit its shit. Not what the this is about, but just watch the bands you enjoy and screw the rest. Its worse here in Norway. None clean metal festivals this summer, have to go to places where 50 Cent are playing to watch Opeth. Thats sad.

Pretty much sums up this whole thread. It all comes down to the almighty dollar. Wacken is going to cater to EVERY genre of metal. Period. And either way they will sell out year after year. I think they sold something like 250,000 tickets this year. Thats fucking insane.

I signed the petition, since maybe in the future when i attend to the Wacken festival i don't see metalcore bands ruining the festival, since Wacken festival is for metal only, and not for other genres.
