Some real fucking elitist bastards in here. Crying because a metal genre you don't like is in a metal festival. Especially hilarious are the ones of you complaining about and that aren't even going to Wacken in the first place.
Face it, a lot of metalheads like metalcore and there's not fucking reasong in the world why the Wacken organizers should ban metalcore from its premises. And not, it not being kvlt enough for your own tastes is not a good reason. Wacken is an all metal festival and I thing it's great that they bring bands from many different subgenres. If you don't, look at it like this, there are still dozens of other bands playing, way mroe than you can possibly listen to in one festival, and if you complain about the people that come to see the metalcore acts, well, there are tens of thousands of people who come for different reasons. Surely you could avoid the ones you don't want to be with and hang around with others or whatever.
And for the record, I do dislike metalcore. I also dislike many other subgenres. I just don't go around saying they're not metal and signing petitions for them not to be in certain festivals, especially if I'm not going there in the first place.
