IT’S TIME TO FEEL THE BRITISH STEEL

AS CHEERING as it is to see so
many great metal bands coming
out of America, we really should
make more effort to support our
own scene. The Garage is only half
full; a real shame, since both
Biomechanical and Stampin
ground are every bit as good as, if
not better than, anything from
beyond these shores.
Biomechanical’s recent album
was so sonically immaculate that
they face an uphill battle to
reproduce their songs live. They
manage it, just through sheer
force of personality and a level of
musicianship that should ensure
longevity, even if they have to go to
Germany to pick up the fan base
they deserve. As it stands, no-one
else in the UK is as devoted to
producing metal this pure.
Underdogs to the last, Stampin’
Ground still have the ability to
blow heads off shoulders, even after
years of toiling away with scant
reward for their efforts. Tonight
they’re as vicious and sweaty as
ever, every evil riff and bone-
crushing beatdown designed and
delivered to hurt. After nearly an
hour of flawless brutality, they sign
off with a judicious cover of
Pantera’s ‘Fucking Hostile’ and the
only downside is that there aren’t
more people here to witness it.
DOM LAWSON

Well the place sold around the 370 mark, in a 500 venue I don't think that's so bad. It was a great night of Metal!!!!:headbang:
