..but i want to buy one again, since i miss my old one and want to start playing again. I already asked this question a long time ago in the "musicians forum" here on UM, with not much results tbh. I know some of you play keyboards so maybe i could get some advice here. I want an affordable keyboard i can use for BM-faggotry, piano-faggotry, orchestral-faggotry and all that other gayporn music i like. Maybe i should get a synth? All advice is appreciated. Im not gay. Kthnxbai

Same as i was thinking when i got mine

I got a M-Audio something 61

it has 61 keys, meaning you have a great range, it also has pitch and modulation, and octave buttons.

THOUGH.

It is a midi keyboard, you will have to rely on your computer, using a program such as REASON, to process the midi signals into whatever you want. i use this, ofcourse, 100% legallyCOUGHCOUGH

You can get pretty much any sound you want, ive yet to find any limitations(except hammond, but its HAMMOND, COME ON PEOPLE ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO REPRODUCE). Its a cheap solution for getting almost every sound in existence, but its not portable, unless you're using a laptop ofcourse.

Other than that, i have no idea

This means the keyboard has to be connected to my pc when I play? Or only to like, load in sounds or something? Actually the midi-thing sounds really positive, since you can basicly get any sound you want. I can even live with it if i have to have my pc/laptop next to it 24/7. Any idea about the exact price? Ill google it in the meanwhile

EDIT: Well, turns out M-audio has alot of something-61's

I have this one: http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Keystation61es-main.html

i cant remember what i paid for it, it was at a local shop, but here:

http://www.thomann.de/nl/m-audio_keystation_61es.htm

166€

And reason. its a software, so.. well i guess you can figure out

Okay, so 166€ for the thing, and xx€ for the software is a total of 166€.
Thanks alot! This really helped me out alot. Ive been looking through the other something-61's aswell, they differ from price from 1xx to 3xx. I dont really think the 200 euro extra will really make me much happier, right? I read about drum sequences and stuff but i dont need those things i think.

Eitherway, thanks alot :D
