Of course it's not his new career... but he did sing this just recently at a wedding in Norway...

Sounded great huh?

That's the best I've heard him in a while! I'm surprised he's still singing Kamelot songs, though - I was under the impression that he was done with them for good.

From now on, every time somebody posts a good vocal performance, I will make sure to find a bad one from three years prior and post it in response. Ooooooh, that'll show them! :tickled:

/"Church of Khan" lololololol

I'm assuming you are a deacon of the church.

I could give two tugs of a dead dog's cock about showing anybody anything. However, the man fucked over a lot of people (myself & close friends) and I'm not going to stand back and let the glory of Khan according to the blind disciples wash over my own forum.

1. Haha, no. I attended ProgPower last year and was front row for Kamelot's set, defended them on Facebook when the really scary "disciples" went "OMG YOU CAN'T REPLACE A GOD!!1111!111," posted the vid of Eriksen singing "Center of the Universe" with them every chance I got, and I just got back from a trip abroad wherein I saw their filmed show in Oslo (which I wore my PPUSA shirt to because of the presence of Kamelot, Circus Maximus, and Tommy). As a side note, Fabio has fantastic stage presence, and anybody who sees them in the States will be in for a real treat.

2. The "oooooh, that'll show them!" comment was over-defensive, and I should have taken your experience into account; I apologize for that. However, "blind disciples" -- who? Are they everybody in this thread who said it was a nice performance? The backlash has leaked into every Kamelot thread now, bordering on history revisionism ("he's always sucked! he had nothing to do with the songwriting!"). Where is the line drawn between giving appropriate credit and being blindly devoted? I definitely agree that he behaved unprofessionally with the last U.S. tour and his departure, and you should not have had to put up with that. However, if you don't want people talking about him, then why not just delete threads and posts where he's mentioned? What does a bad performance at Wacken have to do with his behavior now?

1. Thank you.

2. The "blind" comment was basically a quid pro quo at your shot about ooooh, etc, etc. I'm not going to delete any thread about Khan. I'm just going to voice my opinion just as others voice theirs in support. I posted that video to balance out the "he's so great" posts that were eventual.

I quit reading stuff outside of this forum on Khan so I have no idea about the revisionism going on.

We agree to disagree and move on....

Dude, that wasn't a "bad performance" ... That was seriously the worst crap I've ever witnessed from a supposedly professional musician. Khan should be embarrassed by his "performance" at Wacken. My deaf dog sings better than that ... and I don't even have a dog!

that video from wacken kind of gives me the creeps what was really going on? I had to stop the video,I couldn't take anymore it really felt weird to me

Hmm...

Khan wasn't actually -that- bad. He mumbled his way through, and it was clear that his voice was completely shot. Shit happens. I've heard worse.

Eh that performance sucked ass, but there's been way worse I think. Seen Mastodon on Letterman?
