Kick Your Teeth In Metal Song of the Day

Honestly, to prevent that I would suggest doing a yousendit for any song you recommend. Definitely helpful for people who have never heard the song, or just need a refresher as to why you think it's a "teeth kicker".

Good idea. I love me jewsendit threads.

Blood Farmers - Behind The Brown Door

Highly overlooked cult Doom classic, was only available on demotape but finally re-released in 2004. Dave Depraved is an absolute fucking MONSTER on the Gibson SG AXE. Horror, Psychedelic, Oppressive, Swirling, Mind-Altering, DOOM.

Definitely a fine representative of the genre - fans of true progressive doom should love this, I just don't have the patience for it.

I enjoy the chorus sections where they bring in the blackish vocal elements to the mix. Other than that, seems like pretty standard in your face death metal without much groove or melody. Not my thing.

Yeah, the choruses are the parts that stand out for me as well. There are better songs on that album, but for some reason, that's the one I always remember.

What's the problem, the song or the fact that I didn't put a yousendit?

The fact that all you do is run around UM, for the most part posting solely on these kind of threads just to up your post count. Face ti man, you've been registered under that handle for about 4-5 months and have 4200 posts. It's not hard to figure out.

Ok, well I didn't see that part of the thread before. I don't know if I can do yousendits because of my slow internet connection. I guess I'll stop posting in here.

The Tipton brothers from Zero Hour put together this side project - a weird blend of industrial, prog, noisecore and more accessible metal. Kind of sounds like Meshuggah, Mudvayne and Fear Factory in a blender, with added prog bass solo for good measure.

I had that CD for about a month before I sold it. It was a little after Towers of Avarice owned me. So I picked up that there CD because of the Tipton link, and was very dissappointed. The musicianship is still there obviously, just the music is very contrived and not inspired at all imho. Very nu-ish, w/e that means.

Yeah, I know what you mean Doomy mate, I remember being somewhat non-plussed with several tracks on the album and finding the vocals in general to be rather dodgy - but I'm in the midst of the long, long process of ripping my entire CD collection to the computer (2848 tracks so far) and keep rediscovering tracks that kicked my dick in ages ago that I haven't heard in a very long time!

Alright, time to get back to the ass-kicking.

I'd love some comments from anyone that's downloaded the songs and either liked them or disliked them (or heard them in the past as well, which is Erik's MO, LOL). If anyone wants more samples from a given band, let me know as well.
