Re: Satyricon -- I'm so blown away by Dark Medieval Times, it's hard to look beyond it. I'm still a n00b when it comes to Satyricon, but I like DMT the best, Volcano is horrible by comparison, and the new one has worn thin very quick.

Blood Farmers - Behind The Brown Door


Highly overlooked cult Doom classic, was only available on demotape but finally re-released in 2004. Dave Depraved is an absolute fucking MONSTER on the Gibson SG AXE. Horror, Psychedelic, Oppressive, Swirling, Mind-Altering, DOOM.

Jesus fuck, that rules - crazy soloing, heavy-as-all-get-out riffs, bollock-swinging groove - nice one.

That one would be a great one to revive should the speculated "classic lineup only" tour becomes reality, for pure energy this has few rivals in the Maiden catalogue.

At first I was resigned to "ass kicking" type music, but after seeing some recommendations, I would say if it kicks "your ass" feel free to post any song you want. Nothing wrong with broadening the horizons and discovering good music on any level.

I'd be very interested in hearing the final product when/if it's ever ready.

As for all the other songs in this thread, well, it kinda sucks for me because I have trouble downloading things over 10 mb, so I just don't have the patience. Sorry I did hear some of the Blood Farmer song when my computer was being nice, but not enough to make a real impression. Bummer

Take out the vocals and the song is fucking awesome. Definitely has that black 'n roll vibe going which I dig very much.

Woah! I'm pretty impressed myself, he sounded pretty pissed off compared to Dark Tranquility. I liked the riffs a lot too, I'm definately checking this out.
