Kick Your Teeth In Metal Song of the Day

:kickass:

It's more sludge than anything. Here's another from their previous album, "Need Another Seven Astronauts." Probably my favorite song from them so far. The ending fires me all up - it totally fucking slays. And his scream has the ability to tear paint from the walls. Very fitting title, if I may say so myself. :)

Rebreather - Earthmover

I can see NAD, Demilich, Man as Robot, etc really digging the hell out of these guys.

I had that CD for about a month before I sold it. It was a little after Towers of Avarice owned me. So I picked up that there CD because of the Tipton link, and was very dissappointed. The musicianship is still there obviously, just the music is very contrived and not inspired at all imho. Very nu-ish, w/e that means.

I was also disappointed with it, though I'll give Jason respect for using a King Crimson album for his pseudonym there.

Thing is, I don't remember the production being so dull? Is it the MP3 rip? Or perhaps I just listened to your Dew Scented sample which sounded like an expensive Nevermore polish...

Heavy metal never needs to get faster than this. Doing this in the office right now ->

Check out that Steel Prophet song, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts. :kickass:

It's alright. *shrugs* Sounds like early Fates Warning. I've just never really been into US-style power metal vocals. The singer reminds me of James Rivera, which everyone goes ga-ga over, but for some reason he annoys me -- too nasal. Shame really because bands like Helstar were good musically.

Yeah Steel Prophet isn't bad. I used to own "Slaughter Prophecy", but you know, gotta be in the right mood...

Good idea. I love me jewsendit threads.

Blood Farmers - Behind The Brown Door

Highly overlooked cult Doom classic, was only available on demotape but finally re-released in 2004. Dave Depraved is an absolute fucking MONSTER on the Gibson SG AXE. Horror, Psychedelic, Oppressive, Swirling, Mind-Altering, DOOM.

This is awesome. I must listen to this again before I post comments. :notworthy

It is indeed - could have something to do with it. Production, an element that can certainly enhance a song's quality for me, rarely detracts from it for me, so it's not something I'm likely to take into account right off the bat.
