Hello!

Me and my brother are running the official Klimt 1918 e-team, so we would like to present to you this great band from Italy that deserves more attention, because they write very beautiful music.

Klimt 1918 toured with Katatonia in december 2006, if you remember.

Their sound is very interesting. Fans of Katatonia, Interpol, The Cure, Dredg, Anathema, post rock bands.... will like this band for sure!

If you didn't hear them already please visit the following links and enjoy the music!

P.S. for moderator:

This is not a spam. I posted this topic now just in Katatonia forum and self promotion forum. :)

Katatonia, Interpol, The Cure, Dredg, Anathema,

Because they are all in the same genre! Metal to indie to experimental prog...

Still, Klimt sound cool. I like.

Well, sometimes you shouldn't play neither so much attention to what labels stick on a cd cover or say... just let the songs playing, don't worry about influences... stickers = best way to sell more copies. If I had the chance to discover such incredible acts such as Dredg, Editors, Interpol or Explosions in the Sky, not to mention that nowadays I'm even more familiar to the Cure, it's because Klimt1918. So, actually what the labels say are useful :), at least when you get in touch with interesting stuff.

... do you remember the labels on records such as 'L.F.D.G.D.' or 'V.E.' from Katatonia? Peaceville didn't compare the band to no one, luckily, but was totally right!!!

However, Klimt1918 may remind you a lil' of Katatonia and Anathema on their debut album 'Undressed Momento', while the following 'Dopoguerra' got a total different sound. Not so metal anymore, but definitely more indie. Let's wait for their 3rd effort.

I saw them live here. I only knew one song, and that song alone was convincing enough to go see them. Too bad I was one of the few that thought so, 'cause there were as much as twenty people to see them -.-

The song I'm talking about is "Snow of '85". Check it out. It says a lot of "katatonia" to me ;)
