Hey Andy, I've also got the Bob Clearmountain CDs... Which one do you use? Snare from cd1 or cd2?

And you said you use Channel strip on your drums... Do mean on a sub group or du use Channel strip to compress single drum channels?

I guess what Andy refers to as "Channel Strip" is the plugin from Metric Halo.

And I would be very happy they would make a PC version of this ....

Channel Strip is a combined compressor and EQ plug-in with extended features, some believe it's modulated from a SSL desk. Works only in Pro Tools.

if budget isn't an issue I recomend the UA-1 card which comes with a bunch of
very good "analog" plugins and they sound really good.

Or maybe the TC Powercore where you can run the Sony Oxford stuff on, but I
never head a chance to work with that.

Yeah.
I as far as I know there are no plugins as good as the UAD Pultec, 1176 and LA2.
