Awful album. Anyone who knows and appreciates proper acoustic guitar music (Albeniz, Turina etc) and knows how beautiful it is will rather gauge their ears out than endure half an hour of this crap. Just my two eurocents.

I love Empyrium's music.. But i really just cannot help but laugh at their vocals!

Their vocals are fairly bad on their first two albums, they're better on the third, and on Weiland they're not bad AT ALL (they hired a professional singer for that one ). Coincidentally, Weiland is their best album (well, their second album might be better, but that one's only partly acoustic).

I just gave you two example of what it means. And if someone told me that i'd just laugh at them back since kveldssanger is an absolutely terrible album by an average band.

No, he's right. I like the album and like Ulver, but I can guarantee you that if you put it next to actual acoustic folk albums and then asked those who exclusively listen to such to grade it, they'd probably say about a 2/10. Very stereotypical/simple playing, sparse arrangements and some questionable vocals. Only metal fans really like it. It's the same deal with their electronic stuff like Perdition City, metal fans are all like OOOO AMAZING but electronica fans weren't generally impressed in the least. I've never seen any example of someone that didn't listen to metal liking either of those albums (or the silence eps).
