LAConvolver doesn't have predelay... workarounds for Mac?

Hey guys,

I have searched all over the boards and looked in the Impulse FAQ, etc., but can't find anywhere that talks about a workaround for not having a predelay in either LAConvolver or ReaVerb. I'm using the Samplicity Bricasti M7 samples (as well as Acousticas original release) and I need something that can do predelay, true stereo would be nice as well (and dampening if that is possible with impulses)...

Any suggestions for other loaders or some kind of work around for this (other than rendering the reverb channel and scooting it over 15ms haha)?

Thanks!

use a delay plugin ;)

^^^^ Yeah. Pro Tools has the time adjuster plug in, don't know if other DAW's have a similar one. If not, just insert a standard delay, set the mix to 100%, and the delay time to taste...... Then it'll delay the whole signal a few milliseconds. :)

I don't mind that at all actually! I wouldn't mind throwing down the cash for that, but it doesn't do true stereo or dampening does it?

Actually, it does dampen but it doesn't have true stereo I don't think... which I don't even know what true stereo is good for except audiophiles say it "sounds" better haha... whatever!

Your only true stereo options I think are Reverberate or Waves IR1. IR1 is awesome, I recommend it if you can snag it in a bundle or something for a reasonable price.

You can do true stereo with ReaVerb as well but you need two instances and need to do some fancy plugin pin connecting in the FX Chain window, not too brutal or anything though and once it's done it's done. Thankfully the Samplicity pack includes the L and R wavs from the true stereo versions separately for use in situations like that. IR1 is still the easiest though, it's great.
