Ladies and Gentlemen...please make it stop!

Cara was just pointing out to me how Robocop was filmed in Dallas, telling me it was the City Hall building and etc. Pretty neat!

Oh hell yeah, but does that not make your sort of depressed considering the movie is set in a decaying Detroit, yet Dallas managed to pass for it?

The third movie was filmed in some godforsaken place in Canada. A sure sign it was gonna be a downhill slide after 2.

there is also talk of an Escape from New York remake. originally, Gerard Butler was attatched as Snake, and Kurt Russell expressed his outrage and disgust at that casting. Butler has since dropped out. dont know if those two are related, but FUCK ANYONE THAT TOUCHES A RUSSELL/CARPENTER MASTERPIECE. may their dicks fall off and be eaten by dogs!!

Robocop 3D is gonna be awesome DEAL WITH IT

No, some of the original's effects remade in 3D would be great, but as it is: shit idea.

HOWEVER

A sequel by Aronofsky? This could be good, and closer in tone to Verhoeven's vision.

Apparently it'll probably be Josh Brolin to play Snake. Great choice, I reckon.

thanks goodness, now I can stop pretending to be excited for a remake and get behind this instead.

But I still want to see a slimy toxic waste mutant explode like a rotten pumpkin in 3D :(

I foresee a cross-over spin-off for all ages and tastes (since all modern remakes are made for $$$): Christopher Lloyd, on acid, driving a flying De Lorean through Parkinson's-riddled Michael J. Fox, as Marty after he's been mutilated by Heath Ledger's Joker. Meanwhile, Alex Murphy, having been munched by Bruce from Jaws, only to be rebuilt as The Tin Man, is wondering Detroit looking for a Heart... By stealing those of hookers'. And Pinocchio has a cameo.

I think it'd be cool.

Entirely just a rumor from the mouth of Robert Englund, but Billy Bob Thornton for Freddy Krueger in the remake? I'd watch it.
