listening to album not on spotify. first listen halfway through the songs. def cool. much better than wrath which i hated.


as far as tone, i was not a fan of anything on wrath from songs to production, but i guess since machine was involved again in the new one it sounds better.


sacrament and ashes have amazing guitar tones, i don't know what anyone is talking about.

Sound's like Lamb of god. Nothing new...... and their guitar tone has always fit their band. I have never been a fan of it myself. But you can get a pretty brutal tone out of a mark iv amp

checked them out live mainly out of obligation to a friend to tag alone w him since i've seen them so many times. the setlist was meh a lot of newer songs form wrath which i hated.

HOWEVER, i don't know if it was the mark v or not but GODDAMN the guitar tone was INSANELY good. i've never heard a better live guitar distortion tone. i've been to A LOT of concerts too.

Mark used the new-ish Mesa Royal Atlantic for his tones, Willie was Mark IV or V, IIRC.

also saw them last night in NYC and they slayed. Guitar tone was incredible. Sounded like a wild horse. they were also ridiculously tight. New album is growing on me after that show. Before the show I was like meh.

I've seen these guys like 6 or 7 times, but that was ohh shit..... 8-10 years ago. They were always awesome live. Then I heard lately that they've been getting a bit sloppy. From what I've heard of the new album, it owns Wrath and it has some pretty awesome guitar tone and some pretty tight riffage.

Saw them in 2005....killer show with fucking tight performance
In 2009/2010 saw them 3 times and they were super sloppy, lot of mistakes, lot of bat timing (guitars and drums), super annoyed on stage (apart Randy who's always awesome)...

i will say.... the new album is much better than wrath. it's still miles away from pre-wrath lamb of god but it's a step (back) in the right direction.
the one thing on this album which improves on previous lamb of god including their best albums is mark morton REALLLLY steps it up in the lead department. his solos are amazing for the first time ever. very very tasteful and awesome.
